What age groups does the Academy provide for?
The Academy provide for children between the ages of 7 and 16. Participants must be over 7 years of age, and less than 17 years of age on the 1st September 2008.
Does the Academy provide for both boys and girls?
Yes, the Academy provide for both boys and girls.
What playing standards does the Academy cater for?
The Camp will cater for all standards - from having no experience right up to county standard.
What time does the Academy start and finish every day?
The Academy will run from 9.30 (registration) and finish at 4pm.
Is there a minimum/maximum number of days that a participant can join the Academy?
Yes the minimum number for each participant is 3 days and there is no maximum number of days for participants aged 9 - 16. We are holding a 3 day Academy for 7 and 8 year olds on each of the 2 weeks. (12/13/14 and 19/20/21 August).
Will the Academy be providing food and drink during the day?
The Academy will provide the participants with drinks and a snack (mid morning/afternoon) but it is up to the parents/guardians to provide a packed lunch.
Are the Academy residential?
No, the camps are not residential.
What standard are the coaches who will be involved?
All coaches will be CRB checked and will all have a minimum of Level 2 Coaching Status.
Do the children have insurance cover whilst they participate?
Yes.
What safety procedures are in place?
We will ensure that there are a number of 'first aid' staff on site.
Will the Academy still go ahead if it rains?
Yes, if the weather is really bad we will provide alternative, fun and indoor activities for the participants (which would include a Quiz, Q & A session with the Masterclass coaches, watching rugby videos etc).
