Background Information

MATT PERRY

Having played 12 years for Bath Rugby who he supported as a boy, Matt Perry amassed 230 1st XV games for Bath, winning The League and European Cup in an illustrious career that brought him 45 caps for England, British Lions and Barbarians.  He scored 11 international tries in that time and was well known for his sheer mentality and footballing ability at the back. Never one to shy away from a challenge his commitment to the team and the club was unfaltering and still is. His inclusion in The World XV in 2006 topped off a career that kept him as Englands most capped fullback. His work continues in the community as it did during his playing days, and he takes his role very seriously as a Trustee of the Bath Community Foundation.

 

STEVE OJOMOH

Steve joined Bath in 1989 where he played 140 games winning 5 leagues titles and 4 cup finals - one of the highlights being Stuart Barnes - injury time drop goal against the Harlequins to snatch victory! Steve then went on to play a further 111 games for Gloucester, 30 games for Overmach Parma and 27 for Newport .

Steve won 12 caps for England & Barbarians and was a member of the 95 Grand slam and 95 World Cup Squad. His taste for coaching began with Overmarch Parma (Italy 02) and with Moseley (04). Resisting the lure of going into coaching full time he has successfully established a childcare nursery, Babyface Nursery, in Bath, whilst holding specialist Rugby clinics and ad-hoc sessions for schools in the local area.
